I'm running for the Missouri House of Representatives, District 110.
I was born and raised in nearby Washington, Missouri. My father works in a Missouri based manufacturing company and my mother is a public school teacher.
I attended the public school system and graduated in the top of my class. My hard work academically was rewarded with a scholarship to Washington University in St. Louis (Wash U) where I was one of a handful of women to graduate in Computer Science. I went to work as a computer programmer and worked for companies in Marketing and the new private Space industry.
My real passion in life is helping people. I decided that I wanted to go back to school and will soon have my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Not-For-Profit management. Helping people and running non-profit organizations is a natural match for public office. That's why I'm here!
I have a sister who works in accounting and two step-sisters. One runs a restaurant in our area and other is a lawyer in Kansas City. My step brother is graduating from UMSL in the spring of 2025. My step-dad runs a technology company in St. Louis. Family is the bedrock of my life.
My friends and family know me as a honest, hardworking person with a keen talent for finding the best solution to problems. We are SORELY missing those skills in Jeff City. I want to represent you and your views - you matter to me!
Here are a few of issues I am very passionate about. If you have a specific issue you would want to discuss - please reach out. I have so many thoughts on so many topics I can't list them all here.
District 110 is home to some of the best schools in Missouri. These schools produce excellent graduates with great potential. - the future of our community! Having access to these schools boosts your property values. We need to support public education - it benefits EVERYONE. Private schools are a great option for some people - but diverting public tax dollars to support private and religious schools is un-American. I have had a front row seat to the changes in public and in particularly special education from my mom's career all my life.
Jeff City really needs to mind it's own business. That means: You love who you love, Your body is YOUR body, churches can be great organizations - but you shouldn't be forced to join someone else's church, Rural Missouri is STRONG - we need to stop pitting rural vs. urban, and grow together! I love FREEDOM, and the last few years Jeff City seems more interested in telling us how to live than doing it's real job - making Missouri a better place for everyone. Joe Clark said, "We sink. We swim. We rise. We fall. We meet our fate together." Divisiveness at the cost of the future of Missouri needs to end.
One of my biggest reasons for running! Our current representation doesn't listen to us at all. I want to represent District 110 - not ignore it. I want to meet with you - I won't ever run away from constituents. I have a lot of great ideas, but I don't have all of them. I think you have some too and I will actually listen and put the best ideas forward. I will be transparent and you will always know where I stand. We've had enough representation in District 110 with their own personal agenda. My job will be representing YOU, not me. When we work together, we all win.
I'm interested in your thoughts and ideas. If you have something that needs attention - I'm there for it. If you'd like to help with my campaign - awesome. Let's talk!
